Making A Purchase: Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our Featured New Book or Subject List, click on any items that you wish to buy, and put them into the shopping cart. After you have finished browsing, click on "Order" and you will be asked for a few details that we need to fulfill the order. All U.K. and European distributors must order through Eurospan our European distributor.

We accept credit card payment. If you are shopping from outside North America, place your order and your credit card company will convert the transaction to your own currency.

We accept Visa and Mastercard. We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship. Backordered items are not charged until they are shipped. You may send your credit card information via phone, fax, mail or over the Internet.

Shipping And Handling: We are pleased to offer FREE SHIPPING on domestic (within the U.S.) Web orders. Free shipping applies only to books ordered at list price through our website and through special offers announced by Rutgers University Press. Free shipping does not apply to retailers, distributors and others ordering at their standard discounts. International customers will be charged an initial fee of $8.00 for the first book and $1.00 for each additional book shipment.

Delivery Schedule: Most shipments will leave our warehouse within four business days of receipt of the order. Please pay close attention to the publication dates for our newer books. Backordered books will be shipped when available.

Back Orders: If your book is not in stock, we will back order and inform you of this.

Tax Charges: Since Rutgers University Press order fulfillment is based in North Carolina, residents of that state should add applicable state and local sales tax. All others tax free.

Credit Card Security: We know of no documented cases of credit card fraud using our shopping system over the Internet. All credit card numbers are encrypted in the software when the order is placed using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.

Guarantee: We guarantee your satisfaction. If you decide you do not want a book after you have received it, you may return it in mint condition. Rutgers University Press will not cover postage for returns.
